Mini Bus Hire For Affiliated Groups

This service provides a safe, affordable transport scheme to affiliated community groups using a fleet of minibuses (including fully accessible vehicles) plus 4 fully accessible coaches.

There is no restriction on area or time of usage. Contact Halton Community Transport for details of which groups can take advantage of this service.

Halton Dial-A-Ride

This is a door to door service for people who are unable to use conventional buses due to disability or mobility problems. In order to use this service you need to register for Dial-A-Ride, which is free. Dial-A-Ride uses lift equiped, wheelchair accessible minibuses.

It operates from 8.30am-5pm Monday to Saturday. Bookings are taken from 9.00am-4.00pm.

Women`s Safe Transport in Halton

This is an evening pre-booked, door to door service enabling women and girls to travel in safety, free from any harassment. Unaccompanied boys under 14 years old and Dial-A-Ride male passengers may also travel. The service operates in Runcorn and Widnes between 5.30pm and 11.30pm Monday to Saturday, using a lift equiped, wheelchair accessible minibus. Bookings are taken the day before travel on a first come first served basis.#Lines are open from 11.00am - 4.00 pm

Community Car Scheme in Halton

This scheme uses volunteers giving lifts in their own cars to provide transport for people without access to public transport, particularly those who have a disability or who are elderly. It covers the borough of Halton. It cannot be used where an ambulance should be provided. The service can be booked between 9.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday. At least 24 hours notice is usually required.
