A list of all the Local Groups in and around Hale
Below we have a 5 minute video, illustrating how the estate parkland of Hale Hall once looked, during the late 1890's. Here you will see how the parkland has developed since the Ireland Blackburnes left the Hall, in the late 1930's. Since then,, the pleasure gardens have become overgrown and where there was once fine lawns and pathways - there is now tree's, bushes and the remains of the once thriving estate. In 1974 Hale Public Park was conceived for the village, for locals to use as a public space. The woodland and surrounding estate land remained in the use of the local farms, rented from the estate as to this very day-is the case. The Estate permit walkers use of the woodland ,via "Permissive Footpaths"
