Hale Lighthouse

Hale Lighthouse that you see standing today dates from 1906. It replaced a shorter tower built seventy years earlier around 1838. The tower is 45ft high, even with it being so small the lamp's beam could be seen from as far away as forty miles.

The lighthouse was last used in 1958 when it was

decomissioned. The main lamp/light now stands in

The Merseyside Mariitime museum in Liverpool, located

a the Albert dock.

The Lighthouse is situated on the banks of the River Mersey, and can be seen for many miles.

Walkers, Ramblers and tourists to Hale Village often make a beeline for the shore where the lighthouse now is. It sits pround on the sandstone cliffs, and the whitewashed needle pin tower points sky high'.

During dawn and dusk some amazing scenes can be captured on camera..
