14th December saw local village pensioners of Hale and Hale Bank, enjoy a Lord Mayors Christmas Dinner at the Wellington Pub, attended by the new Lord May Of Hale, Freeman Brian Hargreaves. The cost of the afternoon,which was previously raised at a Lord Mayor Of Hale's, Charity Fundraising evening several weeks before.

Around 70 pensioners from Hale and Hale Bank were waited on by volunteers from the village, serving a full Christmas dinner, followed by Christmas pudding.

Later on after the meal, everyone played several games of Bingo followed by a ticket raffle and guaranteed prize for each person. Prizes where donated by local businesses.

At the end of the afternoon, Freeman Peter Kelly thank the Wellington Pub for the fantastic meal, the volunteers, and everyone who attended.
