The woodland we see today adjacent to Hale Park was once the roaming estate land of the Ireland Blackburnes from Hale Hall. On this woodland page you can see in the gallery above how the woodland looks today, along with the wild flowers and wildlife that now inhabit the woods. Even from the era of Hale Hall, there are still parts of history that still are visible when one walks around the woodland. You can see the original Ah-has, estate railings, the Ice House Bund and water pits, even parts of the garden of Hale Hall are still visible such as the old Cheasnut Walk to the west of the walled garden, rhododendrons bushes, old Yew trees and the tennis courts area that so many villagers hold dear to their hearts and life time memories.
