During October and November, the Freemen of Hale Village have held several working parties, to clear an area of ground at the Freemens Copse. In October, the first working day took place to clear brambles and overgrown scrub, to make way for the planting of several hundred daffodils. The Annual Hale Village Freemen - and Guildswomens Parade and Church Service - took place Sunday morning - 22nd May, at St Mary's Church. At the Freemen of Hale's Annual Court And Dinner held at the Wellington Public House, on Thursday 28th January, 4 new Freemen were sworn in - by the Lord Mayor Of Hale - Paul Turton. Villagers: Mr David Ford, Mr Simon Griffiths, Mr Paul Babluckyj and Mr Michael March were invested as Freemen, for their volunteering services to the community of Hale Village.
