
The Freemen Of Hale Plant Over 500 Daffodil Bulbs At The Freemens Copse
During October and November, the Freemen of Hale Village have held several working parties, to clear an area of ground at the Freemens Copse. In October, the first working day took place to clear brambles and overgrown scrub, to make way for the planting of several hundred daffodils. Clearing The Ground At The Freemen's Copse
A section of the Freemen's Copse - facing the park has been cleared Saturday morning - 15th October, by several Freemen Of Hale and the Lord Mayor, in preparation for the planting of around 200 daffodil bulbs, along with several Hebe Shrubs to form an evergreen border hedge. Hopefully this will be expanded upon with more bulbs to give a blaze of colour visible from the park at a distance,,, poppies will also be sown for next year...
