New Lych Gates At St Mary's Church Thanks To Freemen Of Hale Donation
Preserving and Maintaining Village History
A set of new Lych gates at St Mary's Church, were Re-Dedicated during a short outdoor service on Sunday 10th July.
A formal dedication service took place at 4:00pm, conducted by the Rev. Walter Balmer. In attendance were The Lord Mayor Of Hale Village - Paul Turton, and several fellow Freemen of Hale.
The outdoor service included prayers, the blessing of the gates and thank you's to those involved with the production and installation of the gates
The Freemen of Hale Village, were able to fund the production and installation of the new gates - to St Mary's Churchyard - upon a request from St Mary's for assistance. The making of the gates and other repairs were all carried made by Alderman Mal. Sutton.
The new Lych gates are now fully restored and in place.
