Clean For The Queen At Hale Head Lighthouse - Hale Shore.

Halton Borough Council are organising a "Clean For The Queen" event and need your help to take part.

A litter pick and shore clean-up will take place down on Hale Shore and near the Lighthouse on Sunday 6th March, between 10am and 12 noon.

Plastic bags will be provided by Halton Borough Council and collected later on, once they have been filled.

As many volunteers as possible are invited to come down and help out. Please wrap up and wear the necessary footwear.

Please tell your family and friends.

Clean for The Queen is a campaign to clear up Britain in time for Her Majesty the Queen's 90th birthday, which will be officially celebrated in June 2016.

When she came to the throne litter was not the problem that it is today. Food packaging, plastic bottles, takeaway meals and cigarette butts have all contributed to a growing menace that affects our wildlife, streets, countryside and sense of pride. What better way could we show our gratitude to Her Majesty than to clean up our country?
