Special Hale Trip Treat For Elderly Halton Residents.
July 31, 2016
PCSO's, from Widnes Police took out a number of Halton residents to Hale Village, on Sunday, 31st July.
Around 12 elderly residents of Widnes were treated to a ride-out to the village, which included a visit to the Coffee Shop - at the Youth Centre.
Among the residents, was Desmond, who celebrated his 93rd birthday on the very day of the visit - 31st July.
Coffee Shop visitors and volunteers sang happy birthday - followed by a round of applause, for Desmond. You can see a photograph of him below - in the album, from 1945 and one of today.
PCSO's Stephen Marnick, Caroline Griffiths and Chris Carr from Widnes Police escorted and arranged the outing which was paid for by a local company - Tech9 here in the village.
Some of the residents reside in a nearby care home and came with their friends/companions for a ride out on a nice sunny Sunday morning.
Many thanks to those who arranged the outing to the village: Widnes Police PCSO's, Tech9, Hale Village Coffee Shop Volunteers and Hale Youth Centre for the venue.
