Hale History On Display At Heritage Open Day

Old Photographs of Hale Village, Displays and Tours of the Church were part of a Heritage Open Day, on Saturday 10th September at St Mary's Church.
As part of the national Heritage Open Day event, Hale Church was open to visitors from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
Visitors were able to look through the various archives of village history - on display, from The Freemens Archive, Freemen of Hale, Guildswomen of Hale and the Hale Branch of the Royal British Legion had displays
Several visits to the Church tower were also organised, which included a visit to the bell ringing chamber and a visit to the very top of the tower were open views of the countryside around Hale could be enjoyed.
Halevillageonline was there with our Freemens Archive display of old photographs of the village, along with several artefacts and a scale model of Hale Hall.
Church volunteeers were on-hand to serve refreshments and show people around the church.
