7.5 Tonne Weight Restriction Now In Place For Hale Village.

After several years of campaining by Villagers with support from Hale Parish Council and HBC Hale Ward Councillor Mike Wharton, a 7.5 tonne weight restriction has now been introduced around the village, to prevent HGV traffic using the village as a 'short cut'.
Signs are located at several strategic points providing vehicles with an opportunity to avoid and/or /exit the 7.5 tonne zone/area of Hale Village.
The signs are self explanatory with the text "Except for Access"!
Signs are located at:
* Halebank - The Junction of Hale Road and Bagley Avenue opposite the Bus terminus.
* Hale Village - The Junction of Ramsbrook Lane and Arklow Drive
* Hale Village - The sharp bend - Hale Road at the junction of Ramsbrook Lane.
