A fantastic afternoon was had by all - at the Lord Mayor & Freemen Of Hale High Tea, which was held this year at St Ambrose Social Club in Speke, due to there being no village hall.
Senior Citizens from Hale and Halebank were provided with free coach travel from their pick up points, to and from the High Tea on Friday 9th December.
The afternoon included the Lord Mayor of Hale opening the event at 1:00pm, followed by The Mersey Wave Choir singing a selection of carols, after which High Tea was served, followed by several afternoon games including: "Play Your Cards Right" and several games of Bingo.
Ward Councillor for Hale Village - Mike Wharton called into the event during the afternoon to chat with villagers, and show his support to those who had organised the High Tea!
The afternoon High Tea was brought to a finish with the drawing of the Raffle Prizes and music and dancing.
