Annual Freemen's Parade

May 12, 2017

The annual Freemen's Parade took part on Sunday morning of May 7th at 10:30am.

The sun was shining as Freemen, Guilds Women, Brownies and Rainbows gathered at the Tech9 Garage on Hale Road to form the procession which was headed by a marching Band, the Lord Mayor of Hale - Freeman Paul Turton along with the Rose Queen Imogen Atkinson.

The procession left Tech9 for Hale Church/St Mary's service - just shortly after 10:30am overseen by Cheshire Police/PCSO Steve Marnick. Arriving at St Mary's Church just before 11:00am, a peel of bells were ringing over the village just before the Freemen's Service started.

The service was conducted by The Rev Janice Collier, Rev Janice Farrell and Rev Steve Farrell.

Following the service, the procession reformed and marched back to Hale Park.
