Hale Park Dog Control Consultation
October 30, 2019
The outcome of the recent consultation exercise with regards to the Council’s proposed Public Spaces Protection Order in so far as it related to Hale Park is provided to Hale Village Online, by Halton Borough Council.
The consultation exercise was undertaken following concerns and comments received in respect of the Council’s proposals and was targeted to gather the views of Park users.
A total of 270 responses were received and the results showed that 83% of respondents disagreed with the Council’s proposal to exclude dogs from the recreation area of the Park. On the basis of the consultation results, the Council has determined that the recreation area of the Park shall now be deemed as a ‘dogs on leads’ zone and not a ‘dog exclusion’ zone as originally proposed.
Arrangements for appropriate signage will be made for installed at the Park.
