Big Lottery Fund, have granted Hale Parish Council £500.000 towards a new village Hall. Work will commence during early 2016.

Fire fighters have been tackling a roof fire in one of the historic thatched cottages on Church Road - Church End, on Thursday morning. It is understood the fire broke-out around 7:00am in the roof. Firemen created a firebreak - to prevent the fire spreading, to the adjoining cottages in the row, along with the thatch covering, being taken off. Church Road was closed off, for all of the day. The Volunteers at the Village Hall Coffee Shop, held a Macmillan Tea and Coffee Fund raising morning - in the village hall, on Saturday October 3rd, between 10:30am to 12 noon. The coffee morning was well attended by villagers, who enjoyed a natter and a coffee, or tea,,, and a cake or 3, all in aid for a good cause. A raffle was also organised - to help boost the donation, that will be forwarded on to Macmillan in due course.
