
Electricity Transformer Upgrade On Town Lane
Scottish Power are upgrading the old substation transformer unit, on Town Lane. For a brief period Sunday morning - 30th October, part of Town Lane was closed while the new transformer was unloaded. A short diversion was in place through the Ivy Farm Court shopping precinct car park. #transformerupgradehalevillage

Local Ramblers Raise Over £500 For Children In Need
Well done to everyone who took part in the Countryfile - Children in Need Ramble, on Sunday 9th October, around Hale Shorline. Over £500 was raised - with still more to come in. The New Village Hall
Building work has now commenced at the village hall site on the High Street. Work started early Wednesday morning - 19th October, with erecting the steel framework. By Friday 21st October this phase of the construction was completed. Villagers passing, can now see visible progress above the hoardings surrounding the site. Classic Car Show Raises Funds For Prostate Cancer And The British Heart Foundation
The Childe of Hale Pub was host to another successful Charity Classic Car Show on Sunday 16th October. The event, organised by local man - Ian Trimble and North West Casual Classics raised just over £320 for Prostate Cancer and The British Heart Foundation. On display from mid-day, were various old cars, along with a visit from the Widnes Scooter Club on their Lambretas. The event closed just after 4:00pm with raffle draw. #classiccarshow

Clearing The Ground At The Freemen's Copse
A section of the Freemen's Copse - facing the park has been cleared Saturday morning - 15th October, by several Freemen Of Hale and the Lord Mayor, in preparation for the planting of around 200 daffodil bulbs, along with several Hebe Shrubs to form an evergreen border hedge. Hopefully this will be expanded upon with more bulbs to give a blaze of colour visible from the park at a distance,,, poppies will also be sown for next year...

Driving Hate Crime Out Of Halton
Widnes Police are working with partners as part of a campaign aimed at raising awareness of hate crime, tackling the issue and supporting victims.
