Green Fingered Villagers Come Together To Improve Their Neighbourhood On The Curlender
A group of villagers have come together to form a small volunteer group, to help improve the visual appearance of the green spaces on the Curlender, or the correct name of "Hale Park Estate".
For the past 2 to 3 months with permission and help from HBC, volunteers have been working hard on numerous tasks, including edging the grass over hanging the curbing, planting new shrubs, improving the appearance of some of the garages and sowing grass seed.

Pupils Receive Gift Of New Books For School Reading Area
Pupils have started the new school year with a special gift. Children at Hale C of E Primary School have received a range of new books for their reading area. The books were donated by Mersey Boroughs Initial teacher training partnership, which provides a course to train primary school teachers on the job.
