At the Freemen Of Hale Annual Court, two villagers were made Freemen of the Village. Karl Atkinson and Mike Lewis. The Annual Court is held every January and is attended by the Mayor of Halton, Lord Mayor of Liverpool and the Provost of Altrincham. Clay Pigeon Shoot Event On The Freemen's Field
One of the first events to be held down on the ye olde Cricket Pitch, now named the "Freemen's Field", was a Clay Pigeon Shoot event by the Freemen of Hale, on Saturday 28th April. Mersey Gun Club provided the Clay Pigeon Shooting apparatus and supervision.

Hale To The New Freemen Of Hale Village
At the Annual Court of the Freemen of Hale Village - on January 25th, 3 new Freemen were sworn in, by the Lord Mayor of Hale Village - Mr James Ross. Lord Mayor's Social - The Freemen Of Hale 60s Night.
To mark the end of the current Lord Mayor of Hale's term in office - 2014 to 2017, The Lord Mayor of Hale Village - Freemen Paul Turton invited villagers to a 60's themed Social evening, which was held at the Wellington Public House on Saturday 23rd September. Ye Old Cricket Pitch Comes To Life Again
The Freemen of Hale Village are now the new tenants of the old historic - Cricket Pitch field. For over 120 years, this land, belonging to Hale Hall/Ireland Blackburns - and later Hale Estates, was the scene of many cricket matches, Hale Fetes and more recently – football. Final preparations are now under way to prepare the area once again, for football and possibly fundraising events/activities. Annual Freemen's Parade
The annual Freemen's Parade took part on Sunday morning of May 7th at 10:30am. The sun was shining as Freemen, Guilds Women, Brownies and Rainbows gathered at the Tech9 Garage on Hale Road to form the procession which was headed by a marching Band, the Lord Mayor of Hale - Freeman Paul Turton along with the Rose Queen Imogen Atkinson. Daffodils In Bloom For Spring At The Freemen's Copse Memorial
Don't they look great - The 500 daffs that the Freemen of Hale planted, are now in full bloom! During October and November 2016, the Freemen of Hale Village held several working parties, to clear an area of ground at the Freemen's Copse.

The Lord Mayor & Freemen Of Hale Village - Christmas High Tea.
A fantastic afternoon was had by all - at the Lord Mayor & Freemen Of Hale High Tea, which was held this year at St Ambrose Social Club in Speke, due to there being no village hall. Senior Citizens from Hale and Halebank were provided with free coach travel from their pick up points, to and from the High Tea on Friday 9th December.
