Operation Scrambler - Widnes/Cheshire Police
Care of Widnes Police
Do you know who is using off road scrambler bikes illegally on the roads? Do you know where these bikes are being stored? Do you know how the bikes are being transported around and what vehicles are being used for the transport?
If the answer to any of the above is YES then please get in touch with Cheshire or Widnes Police. Or if you have any information in relation to off road scrambler bikes and their illegal use please make contact. You can do this by visiting any police station, calling 101, or calling Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800555111.
We need this kind of information so that we can effectively tackle the illegal use of off road bikes in our area.
If you are a legitimate owner of an off road bike and use it appropriately then we suggest that in case your bike is ever stolen you retain proof of purchase/ ownership, record chassis/frame/part numbers, take images of the bike and use bike marking products which can be passed to the police if your bike is stolen. This way if we recover a bike we can identify if the bike is stolen and return it to its rightful owner.
